808627d8: 82801G (ICH7 Family) High Definition Audio Controller works only partially because of codec that is Realtek Audio Azalia ALC880. Music plays but I had some out-of-box problems with volume control and mic.
Second problem is the DSDT. This computer has buggy DSDT which causes 20 second delay in kernel boot-up. There's a work-around in Launchpad for this which patches kernel to ignore pauses in DSDT. The problem is not in Linux kernel but since the Fujitsu Siemens wont fix it, kernel must be patched. Patch hasn't been applied to upstream (yet?) (kernel 2.6.31). (2009-12-23T18:51:02+00:00)
